Weddings :)

Indian weddings are known to be long, lavish affairs with tons of food, glitter, music, and dancing. I'm super excited to be attending a wedding in just over a month!! I've compiled an inspiration board full of lovely images of Indian weddings in all their glory.

An Indian Summer!

Super exciting news: This summer I'm going to India! Lately it has been super rainy, cold, and dreary here, so I've decided to make a little collage (you could even call it an inspiration board!) of all the things that remind me of hot Indian Summers :)
*mangoes, lychees, and jaam fruits
*my grandmother's shiuli flowers
*old havelis
*lattice screen windows
*monsoon rainstorms
*silk sarees
*the cheery interiors of my grandma's house

Inspiration Board :)

I love making inspiration boards - they usually end up very chaotically arranged, but I'm ok with that!
Here's one that I made recently using paint. I prefer paint over making a collage online just because I get to choose exactly where everything goes and how big or small I want it. I'm going through a very desi princess phase, so that board is full of rich colors, embroidery, mirrors, havelis, lavish clothes (courtesy of Ritu Kumar and of course, Sabyasachi), exquisite jewelry and gorgeous palaces.
