Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2011 | Babita M, Malini A, and Masaba G!

Babita M's collection was influenced by the baoul singers of India - wandering minstrels that roam around singing, often clad in oranges. The clothes were very earthy, with aviators that added a glam touch. Many of them were in hues of cream, green, and brown, and many featured scripts on them. I liked the glam-boho, unstructured and unrestricted feel of the collection.

Malini Aggarwala's collection was very easy-breezy-chic. There were a lot of kaftans and unstructured, flowy clothes, which i loved. Also really liked the color palette - white and cream with liberal doses of bright turquoise, golden yellow and orange. And, needless to say, I LOVED the accessories - they added so much bunch! Favorites are the two necklaces shown in the last picture - the red beaded one and the turquoise one. I want them NOW!!!

Masaba worked her signature strength - mixing up bold colors with clean silhouettes, fun colors, and lots of prints in the form of footprints and polka dots. Her collection, as always, was vibrant and youthful, and perfect for summer. Love!

Lakme Fashion Week 2010 | Masaba

Masaba just showed her collection at LFW. I loved her purple-white-yellow and yellow-teal combos! The clothes were brightly colored and had some awesome kitschy details on them.
Really liked the aubergine churidaars with the simple white kurta. I think the style of kurta is called anghara (with an asymmetrical tie), but not totally sure. You can wear either the churidaar or the kurta with different bottoms and tops, which I love.

My favorite outfit! Love the way the colors work together.

Hard to go wrong with white+orange/golden yellow. I like!
