Destination: Rajasthan
Ever since I watched the epic Indian movie Jodhaa Akbar, I've been dying to visit the state of Rajasthan in all its glory. Rajasthan is full of lovely old havelis, intricate carvings, deserts, beautiful women in colorful Indian clothes, grand old Indian palaces, and a definite old world charm!
Here's my Rajasthan collage :) Click on it to see all the details!
Here are some of my favorite Jodhaa Akbar photos - showcasing the Rajasthani interiors, clothes, jewelery, palaces, and of course the sexiness that is Hrithik Roshan and the lovely Aishwarya Rai.Tell me that after seeing these gorgeous pictures you don't want to go to Rajasthan too!!
Here are some websites to check out for some more beautiful pictures and details on Rajasthan :)

Just look at that jewelery!! OMG.
That ceiling! I want that ceiling in my house! And of course, a man like that wouldn't hurt either ;)
Now that is what I call a bedroom!!

Buried under exams :(
Sorry I haven't updated in forever! It's hell week (aka Exam week) at my university. I just finished my second exam, and then one more exam and a paper and I'm home free by Thursday evening!
And I promise to update after Thursday :)
And of course, no exam study session would be complete without some chocolate....here's what my desk currently looks like - books, notes, and Hershey almond kisses wrappers all over the place. But I most not forget my current best friend - coffee! Just got a fresh jar of Nescafe Classic Roast, and loving it!
*Sigh*.

The Gleek Life :)
For those of you that don't know, I am a HUGE Glee fan - a very proud Gleek :)
And, in case you missed it last night, here's the amazing tribute to Madonna by the one and only Ms. Sue Sylvester.
LOVE IT!

Vogue India
I just spotted Vogue India's cover on High Heel Confidential, and I'm loving it! I wish I could get my hands on a copy, but alas since I live halfway across the world that will not be immediately possible. Anyhow, I love the dusky-skinned models in white, and I love that Vogue is celebrating Indian skin color. I'm fairer than most normal Indians, and all my aunts and grandmothers always seem to be fawning over my skin color unnecessarily! Every Indian magazine you flip through - even a copy of Seventeen India - is loaded with ads for fairness creams that claim to lighten skin in days - usually with some kind of bleach. Not cool!!
Sorry about the rant, but personally I love dusky skin and I'm really happy that Vogue India is celebrating it :)

Shoes!
Spring = an excuse to shop.
I've been itching to buy a pair of gladiator style or beaded sandals for ages, and this lovely weather is the perfect excuse to go shopping!
Here are some that I found online that I loved:

Mettalics = instant chic.
I like the studs and side loop details on this one. And the color too!
A little on the expensive side for sandals, but shoes from DSW tend to last, so it's definitely an investment. And in any case, I'm loving the turquoise beading!
I love yellow!
Again, I have a thing of metallics!
Here are some places to try for more selections:
Also, be sure to check out NewYork Magazine: Shop-A-Matic's slideshow on the latest spring shoes here!
Have fun shoe shopping!!

Oh Sunny Day!
Spring is in the air! Meaning that its time to break out those cotton skirts, cute sandals, and tank tops :)
Some of these photos are from my backyard and neighborhood, and the rest were taken at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC. Enjoy!
